Steve and Jackie’s love story began on January 1st, 2015 at a New Year’s Eve party, when Steve bravely decided to kiss his friend (at the time) Jackie. Since then, their story has had many chapters, from graduating high school, to four years of university living together in Waterloo, to spending over 18 months apart while they began their careers, to living in Pickle Lake together, to buying their first home in September 2022 (and adopting their first dog shortly after).

On August 15th, 2024, Steve asked Jackie to marry him on the first night of a three-night camping trip with Jackie’s family. After 9 years of dating, the question did not take Jackie by surprise. However, she was clearly caught off guard by the proposal in her Crocs and fanny-pack.

The year 2025 mark’s 10-years together. We cannot wait to celebrate this milestone with you all!
